FREE KINDLE E-BOOK ALERT: Fictional Memoirs - A Primer by W. Biddle Street
Fictional Memoirs - A Primer by W. Biddle Street
In spite of what Mr. Street says, he is an excellent writer. He takes the basic stories that these people tell him about and turns them into masterful narratives. He calls them Fictional Memoir because, while he says the stories are true, he changes the names, some of the details and takes artistic license when the person is obviously holding back relevant details. Part of that hesitation may be due to the fact that Mr. Street delves into the “Erotic Emotionalism” of the story. What he has been known to refer to as “leaving the naughty bits intact.” If not for this Erotic Emotionalism his stories would read much like the short stories of his “having learned from them by reading their works” mentors James Alan McPherson, John Edgar Wideman, John Updike, even ZZ Packer. As they stand they are more like the short stories of Eric Jerome Dickey, or the authors in Zane’s Chocolate Flava anthologies. This Primer is an introduction to W. Biddle Street. If you are a fan of quality writing with and erotic edge, you will not be disappointed.
